May is for Milk-Miami County Dairies In-Person
As suburban living flourished in America and farming became less common, local dairies supplied our ancestors with their milk and milk products. You may have heard how a milkman came directly to your grandparent's door at one time! This industry has largely been forgotten but was very prevalent in Miami County back in the day. Come hear some local historians and see artifacts from their collections that commemorate the pinnacle of the dairy industry in our area.
