Pysanky: Ukrainian Egg Decorating In-Person
Ukrainian eggs, or pysanky, are highly decorative eggs made by drawing melted wax designs over dye, then removing the wax. This class will introduce the art of making Ukrainian-style eggs. You will learn a little history of the art form and the basics of creating them. Bring your patience and reading glasses! Barring any mishaps (you will be working with fragile eggs, after all), you should leave class with at least one finished egg. Please be advised that you will be working with an open flame. All supplies are provided. For adults.
